Alpha is a series of interactive sessions that freely explore the Christian faith, typically run over 11 weeks. For over 30 years, Alpha has been held in churches, bars, coffee shops, schools, and homes all over the world with over 1 million people participating. Each session begins with food and conversation before attendees watch a short video talk, followed by an interactive discussion where you can share your honest thoughts and ask any questions you want. Alpha is designed to encourage conversation and explore the basics of the Christian faith in a friendly, honest and non-judgmental environment. Anyone! Whether you’re an atheist, agnostic, of if you aren’t sure what you believe, Alpha is an honest, informal, and safe space to explore the Christian faith. People from all different types of backgrounds, religions, races, and viewpoints come together to participate in Alpha. If you’ve ever struggled with questions about things like the existence of God, the purpose of life, the reliability of the bible, the afterlife, and other spiritual things Alpha is the place for you. Since starting in1990, Alpha has helped millions of people around the world to develop close, long-lasting friendships while exploring life’s toughest questions together. You don’t need a church background to attend alpha. Most attendees are people who have either never been to church, or only attend church occasionally. Every Alpha is different, but generally they have three things in common: food, a talk and conversation.

Food – Most sessions start with food, because it’s a great way to connect and get to know everyone there.

Talk – The talks explore the basics of the Christian faith and are designed to inspire conversation. Usually around thirty minutes long, they can be given as a live talk or played as an episode.

Conversation – There is a discussion after the talk where you can share your thoughts and ideas on the session’s topic. You can say anything.
